As 2011 comes to an end… Wednesday, Dec 28 2011

So, I haven’t blogged since the end of June (LOL I know!), but I decided to write a blog for the end of this year!

This year started off kind of slow with events/concerts/shows and such, but once February came it was non-stop from there.  It started off with my pal Graham Colton having a show at Lincoln Hall in Chicago with Ashley Arrison/Aben Eubanks opening up for him!  This was a great show and night with some amazing friends!!!  Then, come June 2011, I went to Nashville with my best friend for country music’s annual music fest – CMA Fest!!!!!  We met up with a few other good friends and had a BLAST!!!  We all met Martina McBride at her fanclub party and heard her new album ‘Eleven’ before anyone else and before it was released!  We also met Miranda  Lambert at her fanclub party with each of our “teams” which was awesome and saw Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery in Nashville at the 2011 Charity Softball event – and met Scotty and Lauren there!!!!  We all got to see Martina and Lauren sing ‘Anyway’ and Josh Turner and Scotty sing ‘Your Man’ that same night!  The whole CMA Fest was an amazing experience and I got to experience it with my best friend!!

After CMA Fest, we saw Rascal Flatts/Chris Young/Justin Moore on tour and met Justin Moore that morning!  Amazing concert and LOVE Rascal Flatts!!!!!  We also saw Miranda Lambert at Joe’s Bar with Pistol Annies which was awesome!!  Then, to end the month of June we saw our pal Graham(again!) at a venue called Space in Evanston, IL with openers JillandKate!  Again, amazing night with great friends!  Also, I orchestrated the whole JillandKate opening up for Graham

July was kind of a quiet month, but I did go to a few Cubs games this year.  One being the finale game of the Cubs/Yankees game at Wrigley Field!!!!  Even though the Cubs lost I still had a great time with my best friend!!  This month we also saw Miranda again, but at Horseshoe Casino in Indiana and ended up meeting one of her band members!  He was really nice(and hot, too!)!

Some other events that occurred later this year was seeing Lady Antebellum, David Nail, Randy  Montana and Martina McBride all at Joe’s Bar!!!!!  AMAZING SHOWS!!!!  And all with my best friend, of course!  I would not want to do any of these things with anyone else but her!!!!

October and December we saw our pal Graham for the last two times this year!  Both times were at, you guessed it, Lincoln Hall!!  Also, in December, we went to 101.9 The Mix’s Miracle On State Street to see Kelly, The Fray and Christina Perri!  It was so awesome to see Kelly again this year(first was at CMA Fest when she sang with Jason Aldean Don’t You Wanna Stay) and hear a couple of the new songs from ‘Stronger’!!!!!  After the concert, we talked with Aben again for awhile by the bus; said hi to Ashley Donovan and then ended up meeting Kelly(for the 5th time!!) outside by her bus!!!!!  We gave her the maltese calendars and other small gifts to her, too!  We ended up getting a picture with her(but it was really quick).

The last thing we are doing is taking a very spontaneous road trip to Nashville this weekend to spend New Years in Nashville!!!!  We’re basically going to Nashville(again) for 24 hours(again).  The first was in October with or friend Jess from NY; we drove from midnight to 7:30am from downtown Chicago to downtown Nashville.  Went to the Opry show that night after going on the tour and saw Kellie Pickler, Lauren Alaina and Edens Edge perform for the Opry Goes Pink show!  This was amazing as well with some amazing friends!  We also met our other friend Amy there and went with her!  While there we ate breakfast at Pancake Pantry which is sooo good!!  Go there if y’all ever go to Nashville!!

Also, I started college again, but this time at Trinity Christian College to become a Special Education K-12 teacher.  I am almost done with my first semester(only 2 more classes left of my third class)!!  It is going really fast and when I’m done May 2014 me and my best friend are moving down to Nashville and start teaching!!

SPACE is the best!!!! A GC kinda evening… Tuesday, Jun 28 2011

So, last night me and my best friend went to see our friend Graham Colton at Space in Evanston, IL with JillandKate and a very special guest singer/songwriter Sheree Chamberlain!  Graham was amazing as always, as well as JillandKate.   Sheree has an incredible voice with fantastic guitar playing skills and if you don’t know who she is, she lends her vocals on Graham’s ‘Graceland’ which is on his *NEW* album ‘Pacific Coast Eyes’!!(If y’all don’t already have it, GO GET IT NOW!).  I actually really loved Sheree’s song ‘Summer Heat’, fabulous song!  Although, all the songs she sang were amazing!!

Up next, the always wonderful and fabulous, JILLANDKATE!!!  They sang all their fan favorites, mostly from their current, ‘Songs on the 17th: Vol. 1′!!  Loved Pop Song, Texas, Can’t Remember What It’s Like, and of course, East Coast Bound.   Go check them out if you haven’t already at www.jillandkate.com www.jillandkate.wordpress.com and on iTunes!  Y’all won’t regret it

And now….GRAHAM COLTON ended the night with his FABULOUS set!!!!  Sang songs from Pacific Coast Eyes, Here Right Now, and even Drive(circa 2004)!  Everything You Are was amazing, to say the least.  He had his band there, who are incredibly nice and talented!  During the middle of his set he broke some songs down and did them acoustic—just him and his guitar!  Cellophane Girl is always a fan favorite at all of his shows.  He brought out First Week and Morning Light(from Drive album!).  From the new album he sang Pacific Coast Eyes(of course!) and for the very first time LIVE, Our Story, which was incredible to hear in person!!!!   He of course sang Love Comes Back Around, beautifully and ended with the ever popular, Cigarette!!!

Last night was just incredible and I am so glad that I was there with my best friend, to add!  I can’t wait to see my buddy again soon!  Graham-don’t wait so long to come back here, you know you love us here!!!!

People piss me off…! Wednesday, Apr 20 2011

Ok, seriously!  I’m not stupid here.  I know when someone is insulting me, and my best friend, and when I say something of course I’m at fault; the other person is not, even though they’re the instigator.  I’m not the one who’s ‘fake’ at all.  I’m not the one who does these dumb bar shows singing other people’s songs, horribly might I add.  It’s not my fault you’re bitter and angry because you’re so-called album is NEVER going to be released; or wait, you’re non-existent album.  Plus, how long did it take you to get just one song on itunes and how fast did it take other people who got voted off Idol to get a single, and album released?  Exactly!  So, you know what, you can take it and shove it for all I care. 

You’re not worth it.  In the words of the amazing Sophia Bush:  #LOVEISLOUDER!

Spring is here….means BASEBALL is here too! Thursday, Apr 14 2011

So, spring is finally here woohoo!!  I LOVE spring/summer because that means baseball and the Cubs are BACK!  I love my boys in blue and always have through the good and bad.  What really gets me peeved is when other people who claim to be fans of the Cubs turn around and diss and talk crap about them.  I call those people bandwagon/fair-weather fans.  As soon as the Cubs do good and get far in the standings is when everyone else starts to cheer for them; ummm no I don’t think so!

Anyway, haven’t written any new songs yet, however, I did send two of my songs I wrote a couple years back to Graham.  It would be so awesome if one of them was made into a full song and recorded!!!

I so can’t wait until June 9-12 when I go to Nashville, with my best friend, for CMA Music Fest 2011!!!  It is going to be AMAZING!!  We’re also meeting up with some other awesome people to enjoy the weekend!  I also got us tickets for Blake Shelton’s fanclub party Friday night after the concerts, as well as, tickets for the Annual Softball Charity game Saturday morning.  Really excited to see Reba(again!), Rascal Flatts(again!), Lady Antebellum(again!), Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, Keith Urban, Easton Corbin, and others!!!!  The only ones I won’t see are Miranda Lamert and The Band Perry because I’m leaving Sunday afternoon…

2011 has already kicked off to a GREAT start!  It is going to continue to be great!!!!  #CubsDomination2011 #CMAFestisgonnaRock

Need to vent…. Friday, Apr 1 2011

Ok, first of all, why is it whenever I say something on FB or Twitter it’s always in the wrong and people attack me?!  Even when it’s a general statement.  Also, I HATE when people assume I’m talking about someone or something when clearly I’m talking about someone/something else.  Maybe I should just stop talking period.  Because no matter what I say I’m always in the wrong and at fault.  God forbid if someone else says the same thing it’s OK.  I’m sick of the double standard!  This is ridiculous!  WTF?!?!

Rant over….I typed this out beginning of this month because I was in the moment and had to get it out and that’s what this place is for.

Beautiful Disaster Wednesday, Dec 1 2010

Hey y’all!

Me again.  Felt like blogging again.  Well, today is the 6th anniversary to the day and date that Kelly’s ‘Breakaway’ album was released!!!!  I still remember getting up extra early so I can buy it(ok, 5 copies!) as soon as Target opened that day.  As soon as I got in the car I put the cd in and played it all the way to COD(college classes) and played it nonstop for months!! 

Anyway, sometimes I wish that I can just be lucky enough to finally “get the guy” and be in that moment(whatever it is) when you start a relationship.  I know people talk and say crap about me regarding that.  I try not to let it show on the outside, but it does hurt me on the inside because it makes me feel like “I’m not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough”(Brooke Davis quote from One Tree Hill <3) for someone. 

Well I’m cutting it short to finish typing my paper.  Until next time.

Haven’t blogged in awhile… Thursday, Nov 25 2010

Hey y’all!

I haven’t blogged in a couple years.  A lots been happening since the last time.  I met Kelly Clarkson 3 times now, and the 3rd time with my best friend!!!  That was such a fun weekend   

Also, I met this guy, who happens to be a singer/songwriter/musician who is sweet and awesome!!  I’ve talked to a few people about it, but I don’t know what to do about it.  I really want to start talking to him(like over the phone) and see if anything happens between us.  The last 2 times I saw him I felt like there was something there, but I don’t know if it’s the same on his side though. 

I also feel that sometimes people don’t accept me for who I am and how I am.  I feel like people don’t think I know what I’m talking about and that I’m stupid.  Another thing is that if I do or say something everyone attacks me, but when a certain other person does or says the same thing everyone agrees with them or praises them.  I am sick of the double standard and everyone being hypocrites.  I am NOT a horrible person and everyone needs to stop treating me like I’m shit or not worth anything.

Hey y’all! Just thought I’d write a new blog, but Justin has a new song he wrote with 2 Nashville writers called “I Can’t Live” specifically for the new Twilight movie “New Moon.” Now, I don’t like Twilight and haven’t gotten into it at all, however, I am a Justin fan and will do my best to help him get on the soundtrack. The song is AMAZING!!!!! His voice is so flawless and breathtaking on it !!!!!!
